mastitis breastfeeding

mastitis breastfeeding

in this video i̢۪m going to talk about blisters.it̢۪s very common to get blisters when you start nursing the baby. unless they̢۪re extremelysore, bloody and cracked, don̢۪t get overly discouraged. one thing you can do is try acream, like a lansinol, which lubricates the breast area and has some healing agents. thiscream you can apply after you̢۪ve finished nursing the baby. you might find that thiscream irritates you, however, such has been my experience. so what i do is, after i̢۪mfinished nursing the baby, i squeeze out a little bit of extra breast milk. i coat thebreast area, the nipple area, and when no one̢۪s around i let my breasts air-dry. thisi found really works wonders. now it̢۪s very common to have pain from these blisters, especiallyin the early weeks. and you can have that

within i would say the first five to ten minutesof starting to nurse. if your breasts are extremely sore and bloody and uncomfortable,i definitely would consult a doctor or a lactation consultant. but if the pain goes away withina few minutes of nursing, i think you can nurse through these blisters. and hopefullyyou won̢۪t have them after the baby is about a month or so old.
